The narrative theories applied to my opening sequence-
- Multi-stand narratives
The narrative theory of multi-stand narrative says that there are more multiple central characters in the movie with multiple plots and their back stories. This is applicable to my opening sequence as it doesn't focus on just one character but 3 characters with their own back story which does affect them in later on in the movie (movie version).
- Theory of "Narratology"
This theory suggest that most narrative start with a state of equilibrium where life is all good and then something happens and then everything is up side down and a struggle is shown to reach to the end of the end of the situation and there is a new restore of equilibrium. In my opening sequence all the characters have good steady life in the before they get the black box which drags them in a black hole of bad luck as they have to fight their way out of the place in order to survive.
